Smart for Summer

As you may know if you follow me on Twitter or by passing mention on the blog, I am starting a new job at the beginning of August and this week I spent a few days meeting one of the clients I'll be working with. I wanted to look smart but not too overdressed and when I found this dress in my local supermarket I had to pick it up because I knew it was perfect. Please excuse the slightly poor quality photos - it was far too dark in the living room but it was raining outside, so I just had to make do (with my new tripod - yay!).

Dress: Clothing at Tesco, Jacket: Next, Belt: ASOS, Tights: Primark, Shoes: Primark

I'm completely blown away by the quality of the Clothing at Tesco collection right now, I came away with three dresses and I think I could have bought a few more! I teamed this floral number with black jacket, black tights and black pumps to retain a professional feel, also so it would be suitable for the dreary autumn weather we're having - I've learnt from Jen that florals should not be put away for the winter months!

Do you enjoy shopping for clothes in supermarkets? Have you picked anything up recently? I'd love to know.

My local Tesco is awful for clothes. It's really disappointing cos I like Tesco stuff and would happily buy more of it but I prefer to buy in store rather than online and there's just nowhere near me with a good selection.

Alex - That's rubbish! Tbh, we went to a Tesco in York which is a huge Tesco Extra, but is probably the nicest Tesco I've ever been to because it had so much choice and was lovely a tidy. It's such a shame you can't enjoy their clothes!

Cylia - Why, thank you! I never think of it as being that short, but it is pretty short at the back! :)

I love the Tesco in York, HUGE but tidy and clean better than a the one near me.
I love that dress and I've seen a lot in that kind of style. I bought one (shared the link with you on Twitter) same type of shape and I can see it lasting ages because it seems so well made. I'm really pleased.

Loving the outfit on you and I like your hair.

It was really lovely, and normally I hate Tesco, although I still didn't understand how it was laid out, we ended up going up and down the aisles looking for things!

I really like the blue version (well, slightly more blue) on you and I did see it in the shop, but thought the pink suited me a bit more - I definitely could have bought more! I really think the quality is excellent, my boyfriend has quite a few shirts from Tesco which have lasted him ages.

Thank you! :) x
